BJP members stage demonstration

Pondicherry: A batch of volunteers of the Pondicherry unit of the BJP, led by its State president R. Kesavalu held a demonstration at the Head Post office here on Monday shouting slogans against the Centre for what they said its failure to curb increase in prices of essential commodities and also to prevent terrorists' handiworks in several places.

General secretary, M. Visweswaran; youth wing leader Govindaraj, delegates of the women, labour and farm workers' wings also participated. They were also seen ringing bells symbolically conveying the message that they were waking up the Centre from its slumber to act with speed to prevent inflation and also outbreak of terrorist activities.
