`3G services offer limited scope in India'

NEW DELHI: The scope of Third Generation Mobile services that will allow voice, video and data in a full-fledged manner on mobile phones in India, is likely to be limited, global equity research firm Credit Suisse said in its `India Telecom Tour' report. ``While operators in India and Brazil are optimistic about potential 3G licensing by the year-end, we believe there is substantial risk to this timeline, given the ongoing issues related to spectrum and licensing costs,'' the report said.
