Kolkata: A city court on Monday appointed a former High Court judge as observer to conduct the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) election to be held on July 30. Judge P.K. Sarkar of City Civil and Sessions Court passed the order after hearing the petitioner and CAB counsels for the past two days. The court named Mr Santosh Foujdar, former judge of Calcutta and Allahabad High Courts, as observer, which was accepted by both the parties. The court had rejected the suggestion of both parties naming an observer and appointed justice Foujdar. UNI
