TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to present all the facts relating to the alleged evangelical activities in Tirumala on its website in order to put an end to the controversy and allay misapprehensions from the minds of public. It has decided to send e-mails to all the devotees who are in touch with the TTD for either for booking of darshan tickets or accommodation and also to donors on the raging controversy. The Devasathanams has reiterated that no such incident hurting the religious sentiments of public took place in the holy town. It has also made it clear that no religion, other than Hinduism, shall be propagated in Tirumala.
Increased land area
The TTD has stated that with the passing of the Government Order (G.O. no. 338) not even a square inch of land was being deleted from the control of the TTD and the area remains the same as it was in British period. The officials are yet to arrive at a consensus whether to furnish the denial statements of various TTD officers whose names figured in the fact-finding committee report that they allegedly were practising other religion. The officers, who were present during the meeting with the Endowments Minister, J.C. Diwakar Reddy, questioned the veracity of the report.
