THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Archdiocese of Changanassery has expressed concern over the statement of the chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) M. Gangadhara Kurup that appointments to posts in aided schools and colleges should be left to the PSC. A release issued by the Department of Public Relations of the Diocese said that the statement could be viewed only as part of a deliberate attempt to bring in totalitarianism. "It is unfortunate that such a statement has come from a person who should be aware of Constitution and minority rights in the field of education," the release added.
