KURNOOL: The police have intensified combing operations in the Nallamala forest area to nab those who escaped during a raid on the camp at Nekkantikonda, near Palutla, on Sunday. Police forces from Mahabubnagar, Prakasam, Kurnool and Guntur districts, numbering around 1,500, are involved in the operations. Officers involved in the operation said on Monday that it was the right time to dismantle the network of the underground outfit as it had lost its top brass. The organisation suffered a setback as it had to do away with Tiger Project, Jyoti and Gundlamma dalams and merge the remaining cadre into the Nallamala Forest Division Committee (NFDC). According to the police, the total strength of the NFDC has dwindled to 15.
