NEW DELHI: In its bid to offer value added services, North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) on Monday introduced two new services -- Bill Alert and Demand Note Alert -- for its consumers. The Bill Alert service will facilitate NDPL consumers receiving instant bill alerts through e-mail and SMS. The Demand Note Alert service will benefit consumers who are applying for new connections or in cases related to category change, load change and name change. All these services will be free of charge. A consumer who subscribes to Bill Alert through e-mail will get a brief e-mail about his latest bill. The e-mail would display details like consumer name, address, load, category, supply type, bill type, billed units, last payment details, due date and the bill amount. This information will be sent to the consumer in addition to the electricity bill, which is sent as a hard copy. The NDPL consumers can register for the Bill Alert service by just sending an e-mail to consumercare@ndplonline.com giving details like the K-No, name and e-mail address. These e-mail alerts will be auto-generated without any manual intervention. The Bill Alert through SMS service, presently for industrial and commercial consumers having a load of above 15kw, facilitates consumers getting brief details about their latest bill like bill amount, due date via SMS. Only industrial and commercial consumers with load above 15kw can subscribe to this service. The Demand Note Alert through SMS service will be useful for consumers who have applied for a new connection or in cases related to category change, load change and name change.
