Man killed over financial dispute
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
A financial dispute led to a murder at L.B. Nagar on Monday. The accused person Wamaq, 30, a hotel worker, had taken Rs. 1,000 from his employer Md. Siddique, 25, a few months ago but failed to return the amount.
On Monday morning, when Siddique went to NTR Nagar market, Wamaq came from behind and smashed his head with an iron rod. Later, he walked into the L.B. Nagar police station with the bloodstained iron rod and surrendered.
"It is said that Wamaq recently requested his employer to increase his salary from the existing Rs. 50 to Rs. 70, which Siddique refused. This further strained their relations and Wamaq decided to kill the hotel owner," L.B. Nagar Inspector V. Surender Reddy said.
