ALAPPUZHA: Devaswom Minister G. Sudhakaran said on Monday that the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) had all rights to take action against Sabarimala Tantri Kantararu Mohanararu if he was found guilty of any action not befitting his position. Talking to The Hindu at Alappuzha, Mr. Sudhakaran said the Government would not interfere with the Devaswom Board's action. The police can take appropriate action as per the laws. The law will take its course. Mr Sudhakaran said there had been complaints from the family of the Tantri that he had been trapped. The police can investigate that aspect also. The Tantri would have the rights that a citizen is entitled to, the Devaswom Minister pointed out.
Conspiracy alleged
Staff Reporter adds from Pathanamthitta: Senior Tantri of Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala Kantaru Maheswararu said here on Monday that the controversy relating to Tantri Kantararu Mohanararu could be a conspiracy aimed at tarnishing the image of Sabarimala as well as the Tantri. A detailed probe into the whole issue should be initiated to bring out the truth.
