Power shutdown

There will be no power supply between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday in the following areas: Banaswadi Main Road, D'costa Layout, Milton Street, Lloyds Road, High Street, Lewis Road, Mc Pherson Road, Hutchins Road, Ashoka Road and surrounding areas because of maintenance work in the E-5 sub division.

Results

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has announced the results of second year B.Sc Nursing (Basic) RS examination conducted during April this year. Details such as marks secured in each subject, class obtained and names of the colleges are available on website www.rguhs.ac.in.

Free eye camp

`Chrysalis'

UncoverU, which is into communication skills development, organised a free programme for heads of educational institutions in Bangalore recently to help them "connect" with the needs of the students. The programme called "Chrysalis" listed out the tools required for the students to face up to the challenges of the world.

Study team

A 10-member team of educationists from Assumption University, Thailand, are visiting Sri Vani Science Park on Tuesday. The team comprises members from the U.S., China, Myanmar and European countries who will be here to study the Indian system of education and to interact with teachers.

Elected

B.S. Puttaraju was unanimously elected chairman of the Town Planning and Development Committee of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike here on Monday. He was sworn in by Mayor Mumtaz Begum. Only four, including Mr. Puttaraju, out of the eight committee members were present at the time of the election. The other members were G. Srinivas, Syed Jameel Ahmed and V. Srinivas. Two Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) observers were present.
