Do not give audience to striking advocates, says Full Court
|
BANGALORE:
The Karnataka High Court has disapproved lawyers boycotting in Dharwad and Belgaum. According to a press release, the Full Court of the High Court has disapproved the growing tendency among lawyers to go on strike and boycotting courts.
In an emergency meeting held on Monday, the Full Court has asked the Chief Justice or the Administrative Judge not to give audience to the representatives or the office-bearers of the striking advocates association, unless the strike is withdrawn and lawyers appear in courts.
Lawyers of Dharwad boycotted courts demanding that the work to establish High Court Circuit Bench be started early. Lawyers in Belgaum joined the strike on Monday.
