A different sort of prayer for Prince of Haryana

Staff Reporter

`A MYSTICAL BLOT': K.N. Narayana Murthy's work.

BANGALORE: While people all over the country cutting across religion were praying for the well being of Prince, the five-year-old boy trapped in a bore-well in Haryana, an artist from Bangalore resorted to a different deed.

K.N. Narayana Murthy attempted a mystical blot on paper while watching the live telecast of rescue operations of the boy on television.

Mystic being chance picture, Mr. Murthy said, it may or may not strike.

However, with his efforts, the results came out effectively.

Davangere incident

With the tragic death of Kariyappa, a six-year-old boy at Davangere in similar circumstances in March 2003 still fresh in mind, Mr. Murthy prayed to the almighty through his creation for the well being of Prince.

Rescue operations

Indeed, Prince came out in a "princely" manner, Mr. Murthy remarked after the rescue operations.

Mr. Murthy's only demand is that bore diggers should take precautionary measures while and after digging wells henceforth to avert any such tragedy.
