Yoga sessions for girls

Staff Reporter

GUNTUR: Sri Swami Satyananda Yogashram conducted a ten-day camp on Yoga and Pranayama for degree and post-graduate girl students in the city.

A session on `Adolescence-problems and challenges faced by young girls' was conducted by faculty member from NRI Medical College at Pedakakani in Guntur district, Ch. Kalyana Rao.

Mr. Rao stressed the importance of taking nutritional food and getting sufficient rest.

Word of caution

He cautioned the girls against taking advice on personal matters from cheap books available in the market. Maintaining a balanced diet, inculcating personal hygiene habits would eliminate many of the problems the adolescents face, he opined. Yogashram joint secretary P. Rangaiah, Yogashram organizer Katragadda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, resource persons Rangaian and Anuradha were present.
