Pondicherry: The Joint Action Committee of the Associations of Employees of the Government run Printing Press (Stationery and Printing) here urged the Administration to settle their 31-point charter of demands. President of the Action committee K. Sankaralingam said in a release the employees had launched a two-phased agitation, which included work to rule agitation, holding a demonstration in front of the Directorate of Stationery and Printing at Pakkamodayanpet here. In the next phase they would go on mass leave for three days till July 27 to push for their demands, he added. The demands included among other things improvement in the service conditions, availability of the Assured Career Progression scheme, redesignation of posts, and availability of uniform salaries and allowances, and removal of pay anomalies and finalisation of cadre restructuring and the setting up of a cadre review committee.
