Kerala Minister seeks report on Tantri issue

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Home and Vigilance Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has sought a report from the Additional Director-General of Police (Intelligence) on the controversy surrounding the sacked Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa temple Tantri Kantararu Mohanararu.

Replying to questions at an interactive session organised by Kerala Tourism here on Tuesday, the Home Minister said ADGP (Intelligence) Jacob Punnose had been asked to look into the complaints lodged by Mohanararu on Sunday and the police investigation.

PTI adds from Thiruvananthapuram: Questioning the TDB's powers to sack Mohanararu after he came under the cloud of a scandal, his father and head of the family of tantris on Tuesday alleged a conspiracy against his son.
