LeT infiltration denied
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI:
The Government on Tuesday told the Lok Sabha that reports of two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives having infiltrated into the Indian Air Force was not correct.
Intervening in the discussion on adjournment motion on the Government ``failure'' in Mumbai blasts, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that while the National Security Adviser wrote to the Chief Secretaries in August last, he had annexed a report of the National Security Council as background material, which mentioned some LeT operatives having got a job in the IAF.
"Services of the Intelligence Bureau and other agencies were requisitioned, and after scrutiny it was found that the suspicion was not based on facts."
