ASEAN suspends trade talks with India

KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations has suspended free-trade talks with India because of New Delhi's reluctance to open its markets, a spokeswoman of Malaysia's Trade Minister said on Tuesday. India had demanded that some 850 goods that it imports from Southeast Asia be excluded from the pact, the spokeswoman quoted Minister Rafidah Aziz as saying.
