IN A MOOD TO AGITATE: Members of Hubli-Dharwad Bank Employees' Association staging a token dharna in front of Vijaya Bank office in Hubli on Tuesday.

HUBLI: Members of Hubli-Dharwad Bank Employees' Association staged a one-day token dharna in front of the office of the Vijaya Bank here on Tuesday in support of their demands.

The agitation was in response to a call by the All India Bank Employees' Association and All India Bank Officers' Association. The dharna was a precursor to the all-India strike called on Friday.

RBI's circular

The protesters demanded the withdrawal of the circular of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) outsourcing banking services and the decision on outsourcing clearing operations.

The association office-bearers demanded withdrawal of amendment on removing ceiling on voting rights in banks.
