Arun bags 400m freestyle gold

Hyderabad: Arun Kumar of Army Red clinched the 400m freestyle gold in the 56th inter-Services aquatic championships at the Air Force Academy here on Tuesday.

The results:

400m freestyle: 1. Arun Kumar (Army Red); 2. Aju TC (Army Red); 3. Shibu (Army Green); 100m backstroke: 1. Sunil (Army Red); 2. S. Paramanik (Army Green); 3. Josey Joseph (Army Red); 200m backstroke: 1. S.P. Lanka (Army Green); 2. Aji P. (Army Red); 3. Rampal (Navy).

100m freestyle: 1. Rajimon (Army Green); 2. Aju; 3. V. Govind (Navy); 50m breaststroke: 1. Shyam Singh (Army Red); 2. Shibu (Army Green); 3. Vimal T.K. (Army Green); 100m freestyle: 1. Aju; 2. Shibu; 3. Vimal T.K. (Army Green).

One metre springboard diving: 1. Y. Wtave (Army Red); 2. G.B. Shath (Army Green); 3. K.S. Singh (Army Red).

400m IM: 1. Sanjay Kumar (Army Red) 5m 3.58s; 2. Rampal (Navy); 3. Naveen Kumar (Army Red).

50m butterfly: 1. Ratheesh (Navy) 26s; 2. Sunil (Army Red); 3. Rahman (Army Green).
