ALAPPUZHA: UDF workers blocked traffic through NH-47 at the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital junction on Tuesday from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. `in protest against the failure of the jail authorities to announce action against those officials of the Mavelikara sub-jail responsible for the death of Prasannan of Kalikkal Vadakkathil house, Nooranad, an accused in an illicit liquor case there on Monday.
