Neelotpal, Aarthie share second place

NEW DELHI: Grandmaster Neelotpal Das and Woman Grandmaster Aarthie Ramaswamy (3.5 points each) drew their fourth round game to share the second spot after four rounds of the Sitges International Open chess tournament in Sitges, Spain, on Sunday.

Top seed Vladimir Epishin and third seed Viktor Moskalenko share the lead with four points.

GM R. B. Ramesh drew with Spaniard Antonio Maarcet Bisbale to reach three points. Sai Meera and Prasanna Rao joined Ramesh after beating Spain's Jordi Rodriguez Sanchez and Venenzo Costa, respectively. Swati Mohota (2.5) drew with Uruguay's Alejandro Barbero Senidic.
