HYDERABAD: It will be a `zara hatke' film on the theme of agrarian crisis that has pushed debt-ridden farmers to take the final step. After Delhi youngster Vishal Puri canned the farmers' tragedy in a documentary, an up and coming Hyderabadi film maker Smita Sashidharan is all set to make a full-length Hindi feature film, `Aaramb'. "But it is not just about suicides, for it would mean promoting a defeatist tendency full of negative vibes. Instead, I will show how farmers can overcome the crisis themselves, Government or no Government," she makes it clear. "I know it sounds jarring. But I want to show that a subject with a contemporary touch works," says a confident Smitha. To be made under the banner of Flywheel Media, she promises to make the film different and a solution-oriented one. "My USP rests on the novel way the crisis is tackled," she says. The cast, mostly theatre actors, is almost finalised. The shoot is scheduled from August and locations include Anantapur, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Incidentally, Smitha's film was concretised after she saw Vishal Puri's documentary. Vishal Puri is expected to play the lead in her film, something that fulfils his dream of translating his documentary into a movie.
