Kochi to host Build Expo 2006

KOCHI:
The Builders' Association of India Convention and the Build Expo 2006 International Exhibition will be organised in Kochi from December 2 to 4 at the Le Meridien Convention Centre and the Jawaharlal Nehru International stadium respectively. `Infrastructure development — today's challenge' will be the theme of the event.
The convention will focus on new construction technologies, alternative building materials and environment-friendly building materials. Organisations such as Indian Institute of Architects, Institution of Engineers, Association of Construction Engineers, Association of Piling Specialists, Indian Plumbing Association and Kerala Builders' Forum will take part in the programme, according to the organisers.
The BAI, with its headquarters in Mumbai, has over 38,000 members all over India, the organisers said.
