THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Income tax returns will be accepted through select post offices in the country from Wednesday. In Kerala, all head post offices will accept tax returns. Tax payers are required to bring the income tax return, photocopy of the first page of the return and an open envelop. The envelope should have the PAN number of the assessee, assessment year, circle/ward number of the assessing officer and name and address of the assessee. The post office will issue an acknowledgement in the duplicate copy of the return. In Thiruvananthapuram, the facility will be available at the GPO and Thycaud head post offices. In Lakshadweep, it will be available through Kavaratti and Agathi sub-post offices.
