HEALTHY CONCOCTION: A resident of Chandrasekhar Colony slum participating in the ORS preparation contest held by Indian Academy of Pediatrics in connection with World ORS Week celebrations in Nizamabad on Tuesday.
NIZAMABAD: The Indian Academy of Paediatrics in association with Indian Red Cross Society and District Medical and Health Department conducted a competition on oral rehydration salts (ORS) preparation for women at Chandrasekhar Colony slum, here on Tuesday. They conducted this competition in connection with the World ORS Week celebrations, which began on Sunday. A number of women of the area took part in the competition . Earlier, IAP secretary E. Ravinder Reddy explained about measures that could be taken to prevent diarrhoeal diseases and the importance of ORS in the treatment. A philanthropist and leading dermatologist R. Vidya Sagar who attended as chief guest distributed cash prizes to the winners and the runners up of the competition. Indian Red Cross Society district secretary N. Ramchander and a senior advocate Govardhan alsotook part.
