CUDDALORE: The body of a nine-year-old girl was found in a sugarcane field at Chellancheri within the Reddichavadi police station limits on Tuesday. The police suspect it to be a rape-cum-murder case. The police said the girl's father had lodged a complaint with the police on Monday that his daughter did not return home after school. The police sent the body to the Cuddalore Headquarters Government Hospital for post-mortem.
