300 bags of PDS rice seized

CHENNAI: About 300 bags of rice meant for public distribution system were seized in special raids conducted by officials of Railway Protection Force and Chennai Division in all trains and station premises on Chennai Central - Gummudipoondi and Central - Tiruvallur sections in the last 15 days. The seized commodity, worth Rs. 29,000, was handed over to authorities concerned, according to a railway press release.
