CHENNAI:
One more sabha has been added to the city's list of cultural centres with the inauguration of Chettinad Fine Arts on Sunday.
Kumara Rani Dr. Meena Muthiah inaugurated the sabha, which was started in the city with the aim of patronising dance, music and drama.
The aim of Chettinad Fine Arts is also to promote the work of young and talented artists, and to create awareness among students in the city about the value of art and culture.
The inaugural day of the three-day programme featured a talk on `Dharma in Human Life' by Prema Pandurang.
Vocalist T.M. Krishna performed on the second day, and vocalist O.S. Arun and party on the final day.
The sabha will host monthly programmes, and membership to Chettinad Fine Arts comes with an annual subscription.
