HYDERABAD: MCH will pass bills of outsourced sanitary contractors only after the receipt of a satisfactory certification from the resident welfare associations, Commissioner Sanjay Jaju said on Tuesday. Addressing residents of Hafizbabanagar and Bhavaninagar areas of Old City, he urged the welfare associations to take active part in maintenance of sanitation in their respective areas by keeping a record of the sanitary workers coming to their localities. The Commissioner also sought cooperation in door-to-door garbage collection pointing out that tricycles would be provided for the purpose. Mr. Jaju, along with Majlis MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and local corporators Jameel Ahmed Syed Lateef, Mohd. Yousuf Nakshbandi and senior officials visited Falaknuma, Talabkatta and other areas. Encroachments all along the Talabkatta nala are to be removed before finalisation of tenders and work on Gurram Cheruvu surplus weir will also be taken up as works were already sanctioned. He assured that incomplete de-silting works in the area would also be done.
