Awards presented

Higher Education Minister P. Venkateshwar Rao presented the Pratibha awards, instituted by the Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, here on Tuesday.

The award, comprising Rs. 20,116 and a citation, was presented to Kovela Sampathkumar Acharya, Katti Padma Rao, Kavitha Devskar, Neti Srirama Sharma, Mahankali Sriramulu, Kota Appa Rao, Jujju Varapu Basavaiah, Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad, Adiraju Venkateshwar Rao, K.V. Raghavacharyulu and Sripathi.

`College admissions subject to court order'

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has informed that admissions into professional colleges that are already in progress, including B.Tech/Pharmacy, MBA and MCA are subject to the final disposal of the High Court.

Last date extended

The last date for submission of applications for admission into part-time courses in television journalism/anchoring/dubbing/news reading/photography and videography at the Andhra Mahila Sabha College of Fine Arts and Media Education has been extended up to July 31. Admissions will be finalised in the first week of August and classes will start in the second week of August, according to a press release.

`Admire' in market

Bayer Corp Science Ltd launched its new product `Admire' here on Monday. The new product helps farmers get rid of pests in cotton crops. K. Mapathi Reddy, company's zonal manager, W.V. Nagesh, marketing manager, Ramachandra Bhat, all-India manager, and representatives from its Mumbai and German offices, Holger Wekwart, Andris Hinter, were present.

Company's regional managers from Telangana and Rayalaseema, field marketing managers, distributors and dealers attended the release function, according to a press release.
