Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in Vyasarpadi area, Sundaram 1st to 6th Street, J.J. Nagar E.B. quarters, Gandhipuram, S. R. Naidupuram and part of E.H. Road on Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work

IOB's door-to-door campaign

Meenambakkam and Nanganallur branches of Indian Overseas Bank organised a door-to-door campaign on Sunday to popularise their new services. S. Sounderarajan, Accounts Manager of National Highways Authority of India, inaugurated the campaign.

Interactive session

on IIFT MBA

Career Plan will organise an interactive session on the MBA programme offered by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade on Saturday at 2 p.m. at its Nungambakkam and Aydar offices.

Eye, dental camps

The Singhvi Charitable Trust recently conducted a free eye camp at its centre in Triplicane. About 100 corrective spectacles were provided and 11 free surgery referrals given. At another eye and dental camp held at Madhanapakkam, Tiruvallur district, 445 corrective spectacles were given, 70 surgeries and 170 dental extractions were performed.

Baskar Dental Foundation conducted a free camp at Ponneri in association with Ponneri Lions Club.

Around 300 persons were screened and medical reports were given to them.

Sanskrit training

Spoken Samskritam camps of 10 days duration will be held free of cost starting Wednesday and Saturday.
