Call to file tax returns fast

KOCHI: Chief Income Tax Commissioner C. Rajendran has urged taxpayers to file their income tax returns well ahead of the July 31 deadline to avoid last-minute rush.

A copy of the PAN card should accompany the returns, which should also provide full postal address, bank account number, name of the bank branch and the bank's MICR code.
