Heavy rain lashes city

HYDERABAD: A late night downpour on Tuesday has restored hopes of a revival in the monsoon fortunes of the city.

Even as the weather department was unable to throw any light on the heavy rain, those who ventured out in the night were stranded as several roads were inundated.

The rain accompanied by thunder and lightning continued late into the night.
