VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam won the 29th inter-district junior boys handball championships held at Nellore, prevailing over West Godavari 22-20 in the final held on Tuesday, according to information received here. Visakhapatnam led 11-10 at half time. Sandeep scored eight goals and Rajesh netted five for the winner. Aditya Kumar (6) and Naveen Kumar (3) played well for West Godavari. Kadapa defeated Kurnool 16-8 to take third place. In the semifinals Visakhapatnam edged out Kurnool 17-15 and West Godavari downed Kadapa 21-18. — Special Correspondent
