MCH on high alert following heavy rain

HYDERABAD: The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) is on a high alert on account of heavy rain that lashed the twin cities on Wednesday. Officials said that all necessary arrangements were made to meet any emergency.

Commissioner Sanjay Jaju is said to be personally monitoring the situation and the field staff have fanned out in different areas, especially the flood prone low-lying regions to monitor the situation.

The emergency cell too has been activated to function round the clock.
