Periyar Foundation to draft management plan

KOCHI: Periyar Foundation, Thekkadi, has been entrusted with the task of drafting the management plan for Mangalavanam bird sanctuary, Kochi.

The scientists from the foundation will consolidate the views and suggestions that may come up at the stakeholders meeting to be held at the Corporation council hall at 10 a.m. on Thursday. The guidelines for drafting the plan was laid down by the Wild Life Institute of India and approved by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, said John Augustine Nirmal, Wildlife Warden of Peechi.
