Special train to Bangalore

Thiruvananthapuram: Southern Railway will run a weekly special train in the Bangalore- Ernakulam- Bangalore sector between July 28 and September 30 to clear the heavy rush of passengers.

A railway release said 0637 Bangalore City-Ernakulam Junction train would depart from Bangalore City at 5.15 p.m. to reach Ernakulam Junction at 4.30 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, 0638 Ernakulam Junction-Bangalore City train would depart from Ernakulam Junction at 5 p.m. to reach Bangalore City at 4.20 a.m. The train would run from Bangalore City on July 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25 and September 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The train from Ernakulam Junction would run on July 29, August 5, 12, 19 and 26 and September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The train will have one AC 3-tier, nine sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The train will stop at Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Tirupathur, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Podanur, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur and Aluva stations.
