Maoist couple surrenders

    Kakinada: Two Maoists — Rollapalli Rajeswara Rao alias Chandu alias Raju (25) and his wife Adilakshmi (23) alias Sujatha — surrendered before DIG of Eluru range C.V. Anand here on Thursday.Rajeswara Rao is the division committee member of Srikakulam unit while Adilakshmi is Chilakam local guerrilla squad (LGS) commander and member of the special guerrilla squad.

    At a press conference, Mr. Anand said the couple was disenchanted with the movement. The DIG claimed that the strength of Maoists had dwindled in East Godavari.
