Harinarayana to take over as Chief Secretary

HYDERABAD: Jandhyala Harinarayana, a senior IAS officer, serving as Secretary, Union Ministry of Water Resources, is tipped to take over as Chief Secretary from T. K. Dewan who is retiring by the end of this month.

Mr Dewan's three-month extension expires by this month-end. Accordingly, Mr Harinarayana will assume charge on August 1.

Mr Harinarayana, who hails from Vijayawada has served the State Government in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Irrigation, before moving to the Government of India in New Delhi.
