Bangalore: The Indian cricketers returned to Bangalore on Friday evening after their three-day stint at the Pegasus Centre for Excellence in Doddaballapur. The players, along with trainer Gregory King, physio John Gloster and bio-mechanist Ian Frazer, trooped into the team hotel for a well-earned rest.

During the three-day camp, the players also had psychological sessions manned by retired defence personnel. The theme of team-building was inherent in their training programme at the Pegasus Centre, located 65 km from the city.

"The players had a fruitful session and they are happy with the way the camp progressed," said an official who accompanied the team to Pegasus. The media, which was kept at arm's length, will now be briefed about the activities at the camp by the team management here on Saturday. The players will be cocooned for indoor sessions at Hotel Grand Ashok here on Saturday and are expected to attend fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy on Sunday.

On Monday they will have a morning session at an undisclosed defence establishment. The camp concludes on August 1.

Meanwhile, L. Balaji and Murali Kartik, who are recovering from injuries, will report to the cricket skills camp commencing here on August 6. Coach Greg Chappell, who is away in the United States, will supervise the camp and is expected to arrive on August 4.
