MUMBAI: Indian Railways shooters picked up medals in four individual and three team events at the World Railways shooting championships held in Switzerland recently. Men and women competed together in the same events at the Albisgutli Shooting Stands, Zurich. Anuja Jung of Western Railway scored 594/600 for the 10m air rifle gold while teammate Suma Shirur grabbed the silver with 591/600. They teamed up with Poornima Zanane for the 10m air rifle team gold. The Indian squad also won two bronze medals in team competitions. Deepali Deshpande (WR), Joydeep B. (ER) and Joydeep K. (SER) finished third in 50m 3-position while Amol Renke (WR), Yogesh Sudke (CR) and Ram Kumar Sisodia (NR) finished third in the team air pistol event. Renke won the air pistol silver while Deepali won the 50m 3-position bronze. — Special Correspondent
