Dharmapuri: A total of 17 bags of rice meant for supply under the Public Distribution System (PDS), which was being smuggled in a van, was seized by police at Thoppur, 28 km from here, on Thursday. According to the police, following information that ration rice was being smuggled in a van, a team conducted vehicle checks at Thoppur and seized the rice bags. Four persons were arrested. The rice bags were handed over to the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation.
