Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over coastal and south interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, coastal and south interior Karnataka and at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep. The following stations recorded heavy to very heavy rainfall in centimetres:

Yellapura (Uttara Kannada dt.) 12, Londa (Belgaum dt) 11, Nilkund (Uttara Kannada dt) 10, Subramanya (Dakshina Kannada dt), Kadra and Thirthahalli (both Uttarakannada dt) 9 each, Kammardi (Chikmagalur dt) 8 and Belthangadi (Dakshina Kannada dt) and Bhatkal (Uttara Kannada dt) 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Ghat areas of south interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Farmers Weather Bulletin For Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast valid until Sunday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
