Kanoria Chemicals to invest Rs. 150 crore
KOLKATA:
Kanoria Chemicals and Industries Limited (KCI) on Thursday said it would invest Rs. 150 crore for capacity expansion. The capacity to produce caustic soda would be augmented from 90,000 tpa to 1.30 lakh tpa, Chairman and Managing Director, R. V. Kanoria, told reporters on the sidelines of the company's annual general meeting here. In addition, the company was putting up four chlorine-based plants entailing an investment of Rs. 35 crore. The company would utilise the $20 million raised through the issue of foreign currency convertible bonds for the expansion programme, while the gap would be bridged by debt and internal accruals.
