Ban lifted on fresh demat accounts

MUMBAI: The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Friday lifted the ban on opening of fresh demat accounts by three depository participants (DPs), namely, lDBI Bank, ING Vysya and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd. It further states that all issues and contentions are left open to be considered by the Enquiry Officer appointed by SEBI and to be decided in subsequent proceedings.
