Bank services hit

SHIMOGA: Work in nationalised banks here was paralysed on Friday due to a strike by the employees in response to a nation-wide strike call in support of their demands.

They took out a procession from the main branch of the State Bank of Mysore to Gopi Circle after holding a meeting at the main gate of the bank.

Speakers criticised the Government's move to privatise public sector banks and outsourcing of the services.
