SHIMOGA: Deputy Chief Minister B.S. In an interaction with local doctors and officials concerned at the Mcgann Hospital after inspecting the building under construction, he said that steps would be taken to ensure the opening of the college from the next academic year. He said that out of the Rs. 20 crore sanctioned for the construction of the college building in the first phase, Rs. 15 crore had been spent. The construction work was going on satisfactorily, he said. Mr. Yediyurappa said the plan was ready for releasing Rs. 58 crore as the second instalment towards the development of the college. K.A. Ashok Pai suggested that an extensive search be taken up for the teaching staff and a higher offer made to them. He said that the college be authorised to raise funds from various sources to pay more salary and perks to the teaching staff.
