NEW DELHI: Good old Dilli Haat here is hosting the annual five-day "Teej Festival" these days to herald the onset of the monsoon. Organised by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) Limited in association with Rajasthan Government's Department of Tourism, the festival offers visitors colourful bangles and special Rajasthani delicacies like "ghevar'' besides cultural performances by folk artistes from the North Indian State. The festival has a line-up of interesting activities as part of Teej festivities like traditional "mehndi'' and "rangoli'' besides fancy dress competition and folk songs and dances. There are also performances by the forgotten Rajasthani performers of Algoza and special "nagara'' from Banchar village.
