DINDIGUL: The strike by bank employees was partial in the district on Friday. More than 250 employees struck work condemning a proposal to outsource certain permanent jobs to private companies. They also urged the Central Government to abandon a move to allow 74 per cent foreign direct investment in the banking sector.

Services in nationalised banks were partially affected, as 220 employees struck work.
