HYDERABAD: The S.R. Nagar police on Thursday arrested two friends Ch. Phanindra and Kishore, who allegedly stole 46 bikes from different parts of the city using one master key. Forty of the stolen motorcycles were recovered. There were many peculiarities in the modus operandi the duo had followed, S.R. Nagar Inspector A. Venkataratnam told a press conference here. A graduate from Rajahmundry of East Godavari, Phanindra came to the city in search of a job and worked for sometime as data entry operator. He met Kishore, who was doing a small-time job in research and development wing of BHEL, in a hostel. According to the Inspector, both of them got addicted to bad habits and started lifting motorcycles. Kishore had a master key which he secured from his office. "Using that key, the duo jointly stole five bikes. Later, Phanindra started stealing vehicles on his own," Punjagutta ACP Gopal Raju explained. Unlike other offenders, the youngsters used to sell the bikes only to their friends claiming that they were into the business of vehicle financing.
